Prescription Reader provides a prescription reading and transcription service. Its purpose is to help identify readable medicine names and written directions visible on a prescription supplied by the customer.

Not a diagnosis or prescription

The service does not diagnose medical conditions, recommend treatment, issue prescriptions, change a doctor’s prescription, decide whether a medicine is suitable, or advise a customer to start or stop a medicine.

Unclear handwriting

A pharmacist should not guess an unreadable medicine name or instruction. A clearer prescription image or confirmation from the prescribing doctor may be required.

Medical emergencies

Do not use this service for emergencies or urgent treatment decisions. Seek immediate medical help through appropriate local emergency services or a healthcare facility.

Verify before taking medicine

If there is any uncertainty about a medicine name, dose, duration, allergy, interaction, pregnancy, side effect, or treatment instruction, confirm it with the prescribing doctor or dispensing pharmacist before taking the medicine.
